Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your HuntScout account and what data will be removed.

This action is permanent

Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Please make sure you want to proceed before submitting a deletion request.

How to Delete Your Account

You have two options to delete your HuntScout account:

Option 1: Delete from the App

  1. Open the HuntScout app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted

Option 2: Request via Email

Send an email to us with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your HuntScout account.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account Information: Your email address, display name, and profile picture
  • Saved Locations: All pins and saved hunting spots you've created
  • Chat History: All conversations with the AI Hunt Assistant
  • Subscription Data: Your subscription status (though purchase records remain with Apple/Google)
  • App Preferences: Your settings and customizations

Data Retention

After you submit a deletion request:

  • Processing Time: Your data will be deleted within 30 days
  • Immediate Effect: You will be signed out immediately and lose access to your account
  • Backup Removal: Data in our backup systems may take up to 90 days to be fully purged

Data We May Retain

We may retain certain information as required by law, including:

  • Transaction records for tax and legal compliance (up to 7 years)
  • Anonymized analytics data that cannot identify you
  • Information necessary to prevent fraud or enforce our terms
