How to Get Your Licence — Step by Step

Step 1

Complete the CORE Program

Take the CORE course online ($98 + GST) or in-person. Covers conservation, safety, regulations, and animal ID. Pass written and practical exams.

Step 2

Get Your FWID

Obtain your Fish & Wildlife ID through Service BC or Front Counter BC. Your CORE completion is linked to your FWID profile.

Step 3

Buy a Basic Hunting Licence

Purchase your basic hunting licence online through the BC government site.

Step 4

Buy Species Licences & Apply for Draws

Add species licences for the game you want to hunt. Many big game species require Limited Entry Hunting (LEH) draw applications.

Non-Resident Hunting in British Columbia
