How to Get Your Licence — Step by Step

Step 1

Complete Hunter Education

Take the Ontario Hunter Education Program — available in-person or online at ohep.net. Pass the written exam.

Step 2

Get Your Outdoors Card

Apply online, by phone, or at ServiceOntario. Costs $8.57 + HST and is valid for 3 years.

Step 3

Register Hunter Accreditation

Link your hunter education certificate to your Outdoors Card through the Fish and Wildlife Licensing Service.

Step 4

Buy Species Licences & Tags

Purchase the specific licences and tags for the game you want to hunt. Some species require draw applications.
